Our approach to gain a deep understanding of the challenges a business is facing includes many conversations with both business leadership as well as team members. Other strategies we may employ range from shadowing employees, enrolling in the business as a new customer (aka secret shopper), whiteboarding ideas with the appropriate parties, and engaging our vast network for a business who has encountered a similar problem.
IP Share Model
On several of our engagements, we have developed a software solution working closely with business leadership in an intellectual property (IP) share model. The purpose of an IP share model is to resell the solution developed (the IP) as a product or as a software-as-a-service offering. As sales of the IP grow, both AstreaX and our customer benefit based on the terms of the IP share agreement. This model isn’t ideal for every situation but when it does make sense it develops into a great on-going partnership.
Working with Start-Ups
We have experience working with customers of all sizes from large, enterprise customers (5000+ employees) to start-ups that are just getting off the ground. The AstreaX team has built prototypes, proof of concepts, and fully functional systems for start-ups. We understand the unique fundraising and cashflow considerations that need to be factored into working with a start-up and have helped several to date. Team Time Reporting
Team Time Reporting is a time tracking solution designed to integrate with Azure DevOps, Azure DevOps Server, and now Jira. Once implemented, Team Time Reporting will connect to as many DevOps or Jira projects your teams are working on. Work items are immediately synchronized when hours are entered or removed through Team Time Reporting – no need to manually search for and edit the Hours Spent of each work item you are working on.

Portals & Digital Identity
Deep Experience Developing User Portals
The AstreaX team has had the opportunity to work with an amazing group of clients on some very interesting projects. Many of these projects involved developing portals and we have built up deep strength in this area. A portal is a public facing web site where customers (or partners or vendors) can login to electronically view private information and/or to perform a transaction (or transactions). We have a lot of experience developing portal systems both for government and private business. To ensure a safe and secure experience for everyone, we spent a lot of time building our digital identity capabilities.

Digital identity is the ability to validate that someone is who they say they are online. This can be done through a variety of methods and the AstreaX team has created some very robust digital identity/fraud detection solutions including 2-factor authentication, 3-factor authentication, validating biometrics, device-driven fraud detection, and behavior-driven fraud detection. Driver & Vehicle Services Systems Modernization
The AstreaX team has deep subject matter expertise in the modernization of driver and vehicle services systems. Our leadership team has a combined 100+ years of experience implementing these systems across the US and internationally. Our team was the primary sub-vendor for a successful go-live of a cloud-based driver & vehicle system that supports over 3.9 million licensed drivers and more than 2.8 million vehicles. The system has been a huge success, has processed millions of transactions, and is being evaluated by other states to see how it can meet their driver and vehicle services needs.
Modernization projects are incredibly complex, take several years to complete, and cost tens of millions of dollars so it’s really important that you engage with a company who knows this space well.
